X Men: First Class is a 2011, 126-minute, sci-fi action adventure that acts as the fifth instalment in the X-Men film franchise but as the prequel to the original trilogy. It is set in 1962 during the events of the Cuban Missile Crisis and sees a young Professor X (James McAvoy) work alongside a young Magneto (Michael Fassbender) to stop World War III. X Men: First Class explains with stunning special effects, amusing character development scenes and a fast-paced script the origins of X-Men. While the film has a predictable ending, mainly due to being a prequel, it still surprises the audience by using a multilayered script in a smooth and imaginative way to build tension prior to the emotional ending. Overall, X Men: First Class is an exceptionally good movie that is fuelled by a good script, great special effects and great performances by all the actors.

An absolutely amazing sequel to the X-men franchise framed against the backdrop of the Cold War. From the exciting and compelling story to the fantastic on screen contrast between James McAvoy (Charles Xavier) and Michael Fassbender (Magneto), X-Men First Class was a delight to watch. Though it did suffer towards the end from a sense of inevitability - namely you knew Magneto would turn against ordinary humans and Xavier would end up in a wheelchair, it was still entertaining, fun to watch and did not disappoint the audience who will find X-Men First Class a great addition to the franchise.

X Men: First Class is what the title says, a first class X Men film. It is by far the best X Men film created and reboots the franchise after some questionable films toward the later end of the original trilogy. It is a film that while suffering from predictability and a slow story, in a minor number of places, is aggressive, energetic and explosive. This film will certainly leave the audience happy and wanting another sequel in this much loved comic-book franchise.
