Review

An Inconvenient Truth is a hard-hitting documentary, presented by Al Gore, designed to explain the scientific opinion of Global Warming and encourage action to be taken to lessen its effects. The ending of the film perfectly sums it up – "Each one of us is a cause of global warming, but each one of us can make choices to change that with the things we buy, the electricity we use, the cars we drive; we can make choices to bring our individual carbon emissions to zero. The solutions are in our hands, we just have to have the determination to make it happen. We have everything that we need to reduce carbon emissions, everything but political will. But...the will to act is a renewable resource." Overall, an Inconvenient Truth is a raw, unedited look at humanity and the problems caused by Global Warming. Al Gore does a great job in presenting the documentary in an educational and fun manner, which hammers home the message that action needs to be taken plainly and clearly for all to understand.

Comments:

An Inconvenient Truth brings forward a persuasive argument that everyone should make small changes to their lives in order to tackle the issue of Global Warming. Former Vice President Al Gore presents a wide array of facts, concerning Global Warming, and allows the audience to form their own conclusions.

Reviewer 2's score & comments:

Comments:

While this film spawned out a presentation Al Gore was giving across the United States about Global Warming, it mixes real-life stories, imagery montages and the educational voice of Al Gore himself to deliver a 93-minute wake up call to the world. Audiences will not get special effects or high-octane action scenes with this film but they will be educated and have a few giggles along the way.
