While Unstoppable came into being like a coal powered locomotive, slowly and with various development problems including: casting, budgetary restrictions and production challenges, within minutes of the opening sequence the film picks up pace, like an intercity. Over the 94-minutes of the film, the audience is taken through a fast-paced, character-rich script before being subjected to a nail biting climax. Unstoppable delivers what it promises, an unstoppable movie, it leaves the audience of the edge of their seats, like a bullet train. The only negative downside to Unstoppable is that in places it does suffer from some clichés and bad acting by the supporting cast.

Based on the actual events of the 'Crazy Eights' incident in 2001, Director Tony Scott takes the audience on a wild, fast-paced ride that never lets up - with fantastic on screen chemistry between Denzel Washington and Chris Pine and an equally gripping story this film delivers 94-minutes of unstoppable entertainment.

Chris Pine and Denzel Washington put on a good display throughout this film. While the film is loosely based on the ‘Crazy Eights’ incident of 2001 and is entertaining it did not leave me fully satisfied; whether it was due to the film being slow in places or adopting a predictable ending I am not sure. Overall, the film is decent and worth a watch but I wouldn’t put it in my top ten list for best films of all time.
