Review

Based on the acclaimed comic book of the same name by Mark Millar, Kingsman: The Secret Service takes the audience on a fun-filled, immersive rollercoaster ride where veteran spy Harry Hart (Colin Firth) takes young 'street wise' Gary 'Eggsy' Unwin (Taron Egerton) under his wing and leads his young protégé into the world of espionage. As the film progresses Eggsy and Harry Hart must face their own challenges to defeat Valentine (Samuel L. Jackson), an evil villian who wants to annihilate the majority of the world. Kingsman: The Secret Service is a film that the Director (Matthew Vaughn) and the entire cast should be proud of. Not only does it act as a love letter to the old-time Bond movies and the super-spy films and TV series of the 80s and early 90s. Overall, Kingsman: The Secret Service is a detailed, modern, and contemporary film, which draws the audience in and never lets go. It will effortlessly become an instant classic piece of cinematography and forever be hailed as a master class of acting. It not only is a must see film, that comes with the highest praise and recommendation The Reviewers can muster, but it is a standard-bearer for how modern films in the 21st Century should be made.

Comments:

A mind-blowing film that truly exceeded all expectations. Brilliant acting from the cast, both main and support, made this a delight to watch. A truly remarkable and memorable story that perfectly combined the 'cloak and dagger' tactics of a spy organisation with the sleek stylistic nature of a modern action film, its handful of comedic moments bolsters what is already a stunning performance. A definite must see film.

The hardest part of this review is to find the words to describe Kingsman: The Secret Service. As it is truly an astonishing, rich, immersive, gripping, funny, and awesome film. While Kingsman breaks the mould in more than one way, as it casts a virtually unknown actor in the lead role, gives Samuel L. Jackson a lisp, makes Colin Firth a comedian, and blends the action and adventure of a spy movie with modern 'street' language and comedic escapades that will connect with a teenage audience. It never stops entertaining the audience. Due to this, I am confident that Kingsman: The Secret Service will easily become a classic of modern cinematography, as the cast effortlessly put on a master class of acting and all-inclusive storyline that leaves the audience on the edge of their seats and begging for a sequel. Kingsman has easily sailed into my top 10 list of best films ever made...It is a must see for any film-lover.
