As inexperienced JAG Officer, Daniel Kafee (Tom Cruise) takes on the might of the Marine Corp to defend his clients, against charges of murder, he is challenged by overwhelming odds, such as, an egotistical and uncooperating Colonel, disappearing flight logs and the ever watching and evaluating eyes of JoAnne Galloway (Demi Moore), Special Counsel for Internal Affairs. As the story unfolds the audience is quickly embroiled in a fast paced, detailed and rich story that contextually asks the audience, in a slight throwback to the Nuremberg trials, if 'I was just following orders' can ever be an excuse for someone’s actions. Overall, A Few Good Men contains strong acting from start to finish, clever court rooms scenes and witty quotes, such as, 'I'm sorry, you're time's run out, what do we have for the losers judge? Well for our defendants, it's a lifetime in exotic Fort Leavenworth. And for defence counsel Kaffee... that's right... it's a court martial! Yes, Johnny! After falsely accusing a highly decorated marine officer of conspiracy and perjury, Lieutenant Kaffee will have a long and prosperous career teaching typewriter maintenance at the Rocko Club School for Women.' In short, a Few Good Men is not only just a classic piece of cinematography, but is a film that every serious film-lover should watch and have in their collection.
