Supervolcano originally started life as a two part factual drama created by the BBC before being turned into a movie. It is a scary and realistic look at the volcano that lies beneath Yellowstone National Park. The film is a beautifully made action drama with original characters, who could easily be mistaken for their real-life counter-parts, and clearly explains not only the dangerous posed by Supervolcanos but also the real-life decisions that have to be made once one erupts. It is clear when watching it that it was adapted from the small screen to the big screen, because at times the special effects seem cheap and the story rushed.

A beautifully made 2-part movie made by the BBC. This film encapsulates the raw and powerful emotions of an event that is based on facts that just has not happened yet.

Supervolcano like Yellowstone grew on me; it started slowly but quickly erupted into a mesmerising 2-part documentary movie. Supervolcano is both entertaining and scary in equal measures...the world is fragile and Supervolcano shows clearly, what will happen eventually. It is truly a story that just has not happened yet.
