Star Trek Into Darkness, directed by JJ Abrams, is the sequel to the critically acclaimed 2009 reboot of Star Trek. This sequel comes straight out of the gate by updating, redesigning, retelling and rebooting Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan (1982). Star Tek Into Darkness is another master class of film making by JJ Abrams, the storyline is compiling, the visual effects are appealing and the ending pays homage to long-term Trek fans. Overall, Star Trek Into Darkness is a 132 minute action-packed film that leaves audiences wanting more, while resisting the urge to scream 'Khaaan !'.

Another beautifully stunning film created by JJ Abrams that combines the rich acting seen in Star Trek (2009) with stunning visual effects, an immersive storyline and breath taking action sequences. Brilliant acting both from the main and supporting cast, shows not only that Abrams can reboot a franchise and appeal to other audiences but also continues the excitement experienced in the first film into the sequel.

This film takes the 2009 reboot of Star Trek and improves upon it. The storyline, while essentially a retelling of the Wrath of Khan, feels fresh and exciting, the cast continue to exude a chemistry that is unmatched in most sci-fi films and the special effects remain thrilling. JJ Abrams and the crew have certainly done it again - they have made a Star Trek film that will entertain modern audiences while remaining faithful to die-hard Trekkies.
