Now You See Me is a film that could have easily alienated the audience through its many twists and turns – from death-defying escapology and magical mentalism to unusual crimes and special effects and illusions. However, instead it showcases an effortless display of superb filming that embodies great acting, superb showmanship, and a storyline that gets stronger as the story progresses. Overall, Now You See Me takes the audience on a magical crime spree that surprises, impresses and leaves the audience cursing the films tagline of 'the closer you look, the less you’ll see', especially as the film reveals how the tricks are done and who the true mastermind behind the magic really is.

Now You See Me combines visually stunning illusions with pulse pounding action scenes to create a film that is truly magical. The only downside to the film, and the reason why it failed to achieve a perfect score, is that the illusions, action and special effects seem to lose most of their excitement and exhileration when re-watched a second time.

This film quickly took me under its spell and never let go, it was an enchanting and magical experience from start to finish that kept surprising me up until the final second. If you want a fun filled, action packed, entertaining, and interesting mystery film then this is the one for you. Overall, Now You See Me combined a superb script, characters, and magic tricks to deliver an instant and effortless classic film.
