Ender's Game is a film based on the book by Orson Scott Card and is set fifty years after a alien race, known as the Formics, nearly annihilate Earth during a colonization attempt. Ender Wiggin (Asa Butterfield) is recruited, tested and trained in order to command Earth's military fleet to prevent the Formics from returning to finish the job.

This 109 minute Sci-Fi film seems on the surface a cross between Starship Troopers and Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn...until you actually start watching it. This is because as soon as the opening sequence rolls you are embroiled in a Sci-Fi tale like no other; underpinned by an exceptional cast that complement each other effortlessly and special effects that are truly out of this world. Ender's Game draws you in and never lets go, it is film that without doubt will become a classic in the Sci-Fi genre and easily is a film that Director Gary Hood, Harrison Ford, Asa Butterfield and the entire cast and crew should be proud of.

An utterly fantastic Sci-Fi film that blew me away and truly surpassed all my expectations. Breath-taking special effects, rich detail, a superfluous plot, outstanding acting by main protagonist Ender Wiggin (Asa Butterfield) and support actors, such as, Harrison Ford makes this a ingenious film.

While Ender’s Game was based on a book - it did not fall for the normal traps that book to film adaptations often do. Ender's Game is a game changer in the Science Fiction Genre. The cast, script and special effects worked well together to create a film that not only looks visually stunning and takes the audience on a journey of emotions – it is a film that kept me entertained from the opening sequence to the ending credits. Despite being predictable in places, I would easily recommend Ender’s Game as a must see film for any Sci-Fi fan.
