Review

Enemy at the Gates is a fantastic tale of love, loss and betrayal featuring outstanding performances by Jude Law (Vassilli Zaitsev), Joseph Fiennes and Rachel Weisz. This 125 minute film is compiled of so much suspense, special effects and drama that the audience will be kept on the edge of their seats as the story unfolds and will leave them feeling as if, famed Russian Sniper, Vassilli Zaitsev has them in his sights.

Comments:

While most films based on a true story never truly live up to the event they are depicting, Enemy at the Gates does. The intense battle for Stalingrad was a pleasure to watch, while the acting built suspense and tension effortlessly. This film, like Zaitsev's shooting, is an instant hit and easily soars into my list of top 10 films of all time.

Reviewer 2's score & comments:

Score: 8 out of 10

Comments:

Watching this film I could not help but be struck by how a conflict between two nations ultimately became a conflict between two men. Ed Harris and Jude Law's game of cat and mouse left me on the edge of my seat up until the final bullet.
